Nuclear pirates of the Somalia coast


In UK newspaper The Independent’s recent article “You are being lied to about pirates,” columnist Johann Hari claims that European interests are dumping of nuclear waste and other toxic substances near Somalia with one hand, thieving seafood from those same waters with the other, and in the process of committing both of these activities, driving local Somali fishermen into the pirate game.

He doesn’t bother to point out another obvious consequence: super-powered mutant lobsters rampaging through countless bistros, ristorantes and gastropubs across the European continent.  Read More
