February 6-7, Calgary—The accordion may conjure images of tape-mended Buddy Holly glasses and suspender-wearing nerds, but the University of Calgary’s Department of Music is offering a new look at this geek-chic instrument and its place in classical music.
For two nights, High Way for One invites you to watch and listen as German accordionist Stephan Hussong masters works by Bach, Stravinsky, John Cage, David Eagle and classical music from the 10th century Japanese Imperial Court.
