I woke up this morning like any other junky: Broke and in a cold sweat.
I had been up all night bidding on a Second World War Navy flyer’s jacket. Virtually mint, it still had the USS Wasp insignia attached—and best of all I can trace the pilot’s history back to when the jacket was issued.
So I admit it, I am (like many others) a Flight Jacket Junky. And although it’s not a cheap habit I like to think it’s a little better for my liver than heroin.

Mont-Tremblant, QC—At the Canadian press introduction for the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, held at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, we experienced three seasons’ worth of weather. Luckily, this rally-inspired sport sedan was ready for anything this side of raining frogs. The weather in the morning was warm and dry. Our group was led along a series of country roads on the outskirts of the charming ski village. I’m not going to lie to you—speed limits were largely ignored and routinely exceeded.
