The DRIVEN calendar, “Seen”: Mercedes-Benz Downtown reopens


October 30, Toronto—After two years of reconstruction, the complete renovation and significant expansion of the Mercedes-Benz Downtown dealership wrapped with an executive sneak-preview party. The notable two-storey showroom was packed with not just celebrities—including Kristin Booth (pictured, left), Rex Harrington, Leah Pinsent, Amy Sky and Peter Keleghan—and highlights of the luxury manufacturer’s 2009 model year but also, astonishingly, the 2010 GLK. At 108,000 square feet and lavishly appointed with glass walls throughout, this facility is arguably less a dealership than a shrine. How much is that Maybach in the window? Well, if you have to ask…

The DRIVEN calendar, “Seen”: Audemars Piguet & La Swiss


October 2, Montreal—An exclusive event was held by La Swiss in celebration of its new Canadian in-store boutique, dedicated solely to showcasing prestige watchmaker Audemars Piguet.  La Swiss’s director of sales and marketing, Moeth Ahmed (pictured, centre), welcomed Robert Ronen (left), visiting from Audemars Piguet’s Manhattan-based North American head office. DRIVEN’s Vincent Noel (right) was on hand as Ronen presented several of his company’s rarest, most noteworthy timepieces: the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, the Jules Audemars Equation of Time and, created in affiliation with Bill Clinton, a selection from the White House Equation of Time collection.
